Forest Edge Day Trip departing Ringwood Market Place at 11.30am, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Starting with the Ringwood Rover we retrace part of the route Bussey Cheater, the last horse drawn bus driver in Ringwood took.  Originally commissioned by John Morant, Lord of Ringwood Manor, the bus ran from the Railway Station to the Crown Tap Inn, originally in the Market Place in Ringwood (where the Bank House now stands).

We peel off once we reach the Castleman Railway track bed (now Castleman Road), follow the boundary of the Ringwood Manor to the Elm Tree Pub.  You hop off at Liberty's Raptor and Reptile centre for a cup of tea or coffee while we change buses to give you a taste of modern horsedrawn transport - a contrast from the steel rimmed wooden wheels and wooden bench seats to the modern padded seats, indicators, all mod-cons!  We follow the far edge of the Ringwood Manor which takes us back into town and back to the Market Place then off out into the New Forest for lunch at the Alice Lisle.

We stop for lunch at the Alice Lisle at Rockford for up to 90 minutes, you can bring a picnic to enjoy on the green or we can book a table for you at the Alice Lisle.  We return to Ringwood by approximately 3.30pm.

Booking is required
The buses carry full wet weather protection for passengers.
