Ferndown   Carnival   2008

Part of our remit with the horses is to support the local community.   In doing this we are also able to raise funds for the Horseshoe Trust, our educational and training endeavour, working with Kingston Maurward to put in place a training scheme for people interested in learning to care for, drive and compete with heavy horses.

We were invited to transport the Carnival Queen for Ferndown Carnvial by a local woman who was seconded to Connells estate agents in Ringwood on the very day we took delivery of the Rover and took her out around Ringwood in August last year.   An auspicious set of circumstances and a great encouragement on our first day out.

On the right is a youtube video of the whole procession, in carnivals it really isnt about us, but about our passengers, so we are part of the procession.   We were brilliantly looked after and well appreciated so it was a worthwhile, if very different experience to our usual work.
