It has taken what seems like a long time but slowly we are beginning a new year, a fabulous day dawned unexpectedly and finally all four of the team managed to make it to the yard at the same time. It seems so unreal to begin again and the winter is a difficult time for the horses and driving with our current facilities. We had a fabulous day. Challenging but Jo was on the ball. You can see one of the challenges in the picture. There were cars everywhere. Alan, the local farmer and his tractor and diversions to Aivly and into Liberty's. All new experiences. All went well.
It is a time for big changes for us this year but we none of us know what they will be. Mostly they will affect me, the end of University, hopefully teacher training, possibly a new home, my younger daughter leaving school and starting her A levels. For the business too, we are looking at new plans and how to make best use of what we have. The world has changed of course, we have gone in a blink of an eye from a prosperous economy to one whose future we cannot guess. Who knows too what the weather will do this year? Will we have a spring and summer to encourage people out into the open, to experience a few hours of leisure at the pace of the horse? The opportunity to look over the garden gate, across the fields in way that no other form of transport can afford.
